Flexible and easy to use Inventory Management System
Flexible and easy to use, Smart Use is a single, fully integrated system that can be installed as stand-alone, sitting alongside any existing infrastructure, or seamlessly incorporated into a hospital’s current procurement system or other third party application.
No stripping out of equipment is required and therefore minimal involvement is needed from IT.
Based on a Microsoft® platform, Smart Use integrates with existing desktop applications such as Microsoft® Office, and with its familiar interface Smart Use is extremely user-friendly and therefore minimises training requirements.
Additional operational efficiencies
Smart Use can be used to record all products in a single process, irrespective of whether they have a barcode, thus eliminating the need for duplicate systems and the errors that could result. Inventory management is the key building block in the foundation of supply chain excellence in the NHS.
Adoption of the Smart Use system allows inventory management to become the basis of realising additional operational efficiencies through the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning software features (e.g. Materials Resource Planning).
